I’m a fan of time trials, midweek competition

Its day 18 of the Juneathon and I did a 5km time trial in 28min42s. Yesterday I just did a couple hill repeats (no post).

when Every Tuesday at 17:30 (winter) or 17:45 (summer)

where St. Stithians College, Peter Place Road, Bryanston, Johannesburg Starts just behind Higher Ground Restaurant, which is inside St. Stithians College. Go into the the campus at the North entrance.

I liked this time trial because its only 5km and I felt pretty safe from cars. The route takes you along the inner perimeter of the St. Stithians College campus with a little bit outside. There is a good mix of offroad (sand and grass) and road running, which makes it a little different to normal time trials. Times were taken at the finish so not a train smash if you forget your watch. You can visit the Higher Ground afterwards for a drink. Parking is safe and easy being in the school campus. I’m impressed with the facilities I saw running though the school grounds.
